January marks not only the dawn of a new year, but a whole new year of wine tastings. All around the country there are plenty of events at which you can break your resolutions with gusto. Below are a few of the highlights. 

Oregon Wine, Food and Brew Festival, Salem, Ore., Jan. 13-14
Get your first taste of the new year at this delicious festival! There will be 36 Oregon wineries, Oregon craft and micro brews, and culinary delights to sample and enjoy. In addition, great music and free parking are provided. Click here for tickets and information. 

Around Australia in 80 Sips, LA, NYC, Chicago, Jan. 12, 19, and 26

Start off 2012 with an incredible journey around the amazing wine regions of Australia. At these tastings, you’ll sip traditional favorites as well as boutique offerings, and even experience newbie winemakers coming onto the groovy, fun Aussie wine scene. Boston Wine Expo, Boston, Jan. 16-22

Boston's best-loved wine event is bigger, bolder, and better than ever. Get ready for a week-long celebration of the world's most popular wine-growing regions. 2012 Union des Grands Crus de Bordeaux Tasting, Los Angeles, Jan. 20

Taste more than 100 of the world's best bordeaux wines at the largest private bordeaux wine tasting ever held in Southern California! Wines are poured by the world’s greatest chateau owners and winemakers and an array of cheeses will accompany the wines. Click here for tickets and information. 

Key West Food & Wine Festival, Key West, Fla., Jan. 26-29

The third annual Key West Food & Wine Festival is set to turn up the heat in Key West. ZAP Grand Tasting, San Francisco, Jan. 28
