The walls are set with hand and foot holds, and the climbers climb in a roped-up harness. The staff is knowledgeable about rock and wall climbing, and safety is a top priority. Vertical World's programs start at three years old, and continues to 17 years old. The gym is open seven days a week. In addition to the climbing classes, the gym offers yoga and fitness classes. The Frances Anderson Center offers open gym to children ages 17 and under. The age limit is decided by the facility. It is known for its numerous children's camps throughout the summer and during long school breaks.
