Operated by the City of Charlotte, Ray's Splash Planet is a one-of-a-kind water park filled with 117 gallons of water. You and your child can slide down the three-story double figure eight blue comet slide or get dunked by the meteor showers. The Saturation Staton has four slides and a tumble bucket. There is a state-of-the-art fitness area for those who prefer to exercise on dry ground. When you need a lunch break, check out the Snack Shack.

One of the best ways to pass time on a rainy day is at the amazing Great Wolf Lodge Water Park. Little kids can spend hours at the Big Foot Pass, jumping across lily pads. This children's museum offers experiences to help children learn and build confidence as they try new things. The museum is designed around a series of exhibits with a small town theme. There are art opportunities where kids can build sculptures with foam and moon sand and a chance to find new uses for recyclables.
