Over 10 years ago, two brothers threw fake feet off their parents' roof to scare passersby on All Hallow's Eve. Since that time, the brothers' love for the macabre has grown. To learn their trade, they trained side by side with some of the top haunts in the country, and have now brought that knowledge back to Sacramento. Hailed as a Sacramento Ghost Tour, your tour guide will encourage you to stay with the group, as no one ever knows what you might come face to face with. This tour takes you through the back alleys of Old Sac, one of the favored areas in our city. A Hollywood filmmaker and a special FX engineer, both with experience in the extreme, present Callson Manor Haunted House. Callson has a number of terrifying attractions to scare you with this year, including a Ghost Posse in the Haunted Courtyard, before you even get into the house. It has eight attractions, according to the website: Callson Manor, Darkness, Asylum, Cirque Du Fantasy, The Tavern, Panic, Slasher Café and Oddities. This is surely a place to add to your favorite haunts this year. The Manor also offers to host events. It will be open weekends in October from 7:30 to 10 p.m.

Corbett's has three haunts to entertain those who are not faint of heart: the House of Horror, Zombieland and Carn-Evil, which is sure to scare every coulrophobic guest. It has an interesting FAQ page of do's and don'ts. Corbett's only accepts cash and does not allow photos, videos, food, drink or touching the ghosts and ghouls. Corbett's has a casting call, looking for those who want to join their walking dead. You must be 16 to apply.

The Cemetarium Haunted House has a Low Scare Family Friendly price and timeframe, from 7 to 7:30 p.m. each night. Those under 12 must have an adult in tow. Full Scare starts at 7:30 p.m. and ends each night when Cemetarium closes. There is also an offer for a VIP Full Scare ticket line. The event is run by Terror in the Night Productions. It runs events throughout the year, and can be found on Facebook.
