Founded 12 years ago by multitalented Della Freedman, About Town Tours provides a murder mystery package that includes guest participation. At one point during the evening, the cast is open for interrogation as the audience interacts with the actors. Their clientele is comprised mainly of groups, some from out of state looking for corporate or enjoyable entertainment. Freedman says she can accommodate a request "a week in advance or a year in advance." The show can be brought to the client, but currently they are partnering with the historic Dunhill Hotel on North Tryon Street. One of many advantages of this partnership is the fact that the Dunhill partners with the Asbury Restaurant next door. Their chef gets only high marks for creating a gourmet dining experience.

Founded by Rebecca Martin and Yvonne "Birdie" Clark in 1996, and self proclaimed as "The Broadway of Christian Entertainment", this is one of the few Christian theaters anywhere. Clearly it is one of the best, since excellent reviews by guests in 2013 and 2014 resulted in their receiving the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence in both years. A prolific listing of shows is offered on their website, including Broadway style musicals, Gospel stories, holiday themes and mysteries. The younger set of visitors are welcome to enjoy the petting zoo, camel rides and special birthday parties, which can be arranged in advance. NarroWay Productions is equipped to take their show on the road with traveling cast members. Meal menus vary according to the production, but the cuisine will not disappoint.
