Everyone in Sacramento knows Hoppy Brewing. This longstanding local brewpub has built an army of loyal patrons based on years of quality craft beer. Hoppy's beers are available not only on site, but also at local retailers which is no secret. Manager Conor Tekautz says Hoppy will be welcoming guests looking to catch some good tennis and the bar will be showing the U.S. Open as it airs. As an added draw, Conor mentioned the daily happy hour which goes from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Pitchers of Hoppy's house-made brews are $14 and pints go for $4. Appetizers are also discounted during happy hour at $1 off of small apps, $1.50 off medium and $2 off large appetizers. It is absolutely worth mentioning that this happy hour goes from open to close every Monday.

At the edge of Capitol Park, Firestone is an amazing place to get together. It has over 60 beers on tap, including great flights like the "Best of the West IPA Flight" which consists of 21st Amendment IPA, Drakes IPA, Lagunitas IPA and Green Flash Imperial IPA. The eclectic menu offers new twists on old favorites like the brandy fried chicken. For anyone looking for a little less, Firestone has three "Skinny Drinks" on its cocktail menu: a pomegranate martini, a lemon drop and a margarita. With 22 flat-screen TVs, all you have to do is ask for the event you want to see. Happy hour specials are Monday through Friday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. with $2 off wine by the glass, $4.50 well drinks and $7 specialty cocktails.

Streets of London is a fun place to grab a pint. While it doesn't have any cask-conditioned ales, there is a real UK feel to the bar. Order a Smithwick's, some Bangers and Mash or maybe even an Irish Coffee (Jameson topped with whipped cream). You can play foosball or darts, or enjoy the weather outside on the front or back patio. Or maybe, you and your friends would prefer to catch a sporting event, like the Open, on one of the many flat-screen TVs. Whatever you decide to take part in at the pub, you're sure to have fun.

Affectionately called "The Sporty" by locals, E.G. Sports Bar is very much a neighborhood joint. Don't be expecting something fancy; this place definitely has a dive atmosphere. Sometimes a down-to-earth spot is the best for getting together with friends to watch a game (or a match). With 11 flat-screens and two big screens, the bar will usually switch the TV you're watching to whatever you like if you ask. The prices can't be beat and the large portions of down-home bar food are outstanding. The potato skins are actually the size of potatoes, and delicious.

Like Firestone, Sapporo is in a premium location, close to midtown, downtown and the freeways. It has three flat-screen TVs and two giant projection screens. If there is a sporting event, it is sure to be on one or all of those screens. The staff is wonderful and the happy hour is the best. From 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. everyday, house wine and well drinks are $4 and pints of draft beer are only $3. The amazing stuffed jalapenos are tempura coated and have snow crab and albacore along with the traditional cream cheese filling (during happy hour they're only $4). One of the best rolls is the Land Park — shrimp tempura and snow crab topped with avocado, masago and special sauce.
