This Belltown nightclub feature state-of-the-art EDM sound and a laser show on one of Seattle's largest dance floors. The crowd is trendy, upscale and dressed to impress (due in part to the dress code: no baseball caps, sandals, shorts or baggy clothes). The drinks are somewhat expensive and the dance floor is crowded on sold-out nights. Prepare to get hot and sweaty as you dance the night away.

Located on the northern edge of Pioneer Square along the downtown waterfront, this nostalgic juke joint is a casual, dark and divey spot. To accompany the loud rockin' blues music, it offers a menu of Louisiana-style food and drinks. The live bands never cease to get the crowd on their feet. The (often) slightly older crowd is not afraid to jump, jive and swing on the dance floor as the impressive bands crank up the beat.

Even going solo, you will enjoy the friendly crowd in the casual atmosphere of this Fremont nightclub. The drinks can be pricey, but the sound is great and the music is eclectic. On any given night, the style can range from reggae to hip hop, or feature hits from decades such as the 80s and 90s. When you break into a sweat or need a break from the very loud music, chill on the covered patio. Then dive back in to dance the rest of the night away.

This multi-level nightclub in the heart of Capitol Hill is trendy and loud, with a DJ spinning tunes on a state-of-the-art sound and light system. There's no cover before 9 p.m., but the usually rowdy crowd doesn't get going until after 11. At that point, the typically diverse crowd takes over the spacious dance floor. Everyone is fueled through the night by the expensive, but strong drinks. Nobody is complaining.

Located downtown across from Pike Place Market, the original ShowBox is a casual nightspot with great sound and light show. You'll enjoy dancing to the very loud music on the crowded, but not crushing dance floor, even when filled to capacity. The layout is nice, with great vantage points from anywhere in the club. And The Showbox offers good prices on great drinks and food. One drawback is limited parking nearby. This is a good time to plan to catch a cab, which you should do anyway if there is no designated driver in your singles group.

This is our ringer in the Georgetown neighborhood, south of SODO. On Friday, 9LB Hammer features a DJ. The rest of the week, you'll find classic games from shuffleboard and pinball to video. This is a great, divey neighborhood joint. It's also inexpensive. But the crowd is diverse (from dressed down to dressed up). There's a chance you'll meet interesting people, enjoy some lively conversation and play a game or two.
