Best Bars For Singles In Atlanta

For years, Atlanta has been known as a great city for singles. Heck, back in 2008, Forbes ranked it the "Best City for Singles" in its annual list citing job growth, great weather and the nightlife and culture as contributing factors. Being one of the fastest growing cities, Atlanta has attracted 20-somethings and recent college graduates since the 1970s, but now in the 2000s, it draws singles because there is so much going on in the largest city in the South. Here are some of the bars that are frequented by the singles that inhabit Atlanta.

The Andrews entertainment district in Atlanta has been ground zero for singles' activities for well over a decade, but its current layout is drawing people of all ages and interests. Andrews Upstairs has been voted Atlanta's best dance club and USA Today calls it one of the best places to drink vodka in the entire country. The "cellar" feel of Wrecking Bar is a dead giveaway that this is a great place for social drinking. But don't let that make you think the food is just mediocre. Everything from the pickled veggies to the pimento cheese is delicious. The corn puffs go down easy and the choices when it comes to craft beer are almost endless. This place is an underrated singles' hangout as it is always packed. Friendly people, a great ambiance and a well thought-out menu will bring the singles out to mingle.

Condesa Coffee is a combination coffee house and wine bar that is located right in the heart of Atlanta. During the day, it's a casual place to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee. And at night, it turns into a wine bar and it's a great place to meet young to middle-aged professional singles without all of the noise and pressure of being at a bar or nightclub. Make note, everything is good at Condesa. When you first enter, it may have that pretentious feel, but with a hot cup of coffee or a smooth glass of wine, you will quickly warm up to what Condesa is all about.
