Mr. Dunderbak's is one of very few restaurants in the Tampa Bay area that offers truly authentic German cuisine. Some of the menu options are absolutely to die for, such as the cheese spatzle, homemade pierogies and potato pancakes with sour cream and applesauce. Dunderbak's is also famous for its beer selection, which includes imported bottled beers as well as house-brewed drafts. Here is where you can find the Hofbrau Oktoberfest Bier, brewed by the Hofbrau Munchen, one of only six breweries allowed to supply beer to the Oktoberfest in Munich. This is the real deal for German beer.

Cigar City is all about supporting the local community and creates its menu with ingredients from only local farmers. Its menu is not terribly extensive but very high quality. Depending on what is locally available, you can expect to see choices like empanadas, smoked swordfish tacos and hanger steak. Cigar City also brews its own beers, including the seasonal Good Gourd brew. This pumpkin ale is flavored with ceylon cinnamon, Jamaican all-spice, Zanzibar cloves and nutmeg.

The Dunedin Brewery is the oldest craft brewery in the Sunshine State. The menu is composed of typical pub fare, such as nachos, wings, burritos and sandwiches. Three seasonal flavors are available on tap: an Oktoberfest red lager, the American Classic IPA and a pumpkin brew. The pumpkin brew is by far the most popular, made with real pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla and brewed into a Scottish-style red ale.

Tampa Bay Brewing Company is so passionate about house-made beers that it even includes them in the food on the menu. For example, you can order a French baguette served with orange blossom honey butter made with its Wild Warthog Weizen brew, or maybe the True Blonde Hummus Dip made with its True Blonde Ale and served with pita and veggies. When fall arrives, another house-made brew joins the beer menu: the Midnight Crossing. It has a heavy roasted malt taste with notes of caramel.
