Best April Fool's Food And Drink Pitches We've Seen So Far

It's April Fool's Day and the culinary world has turned into a giddy playground. As companies send out excited press releases and even physical products that make our editors question the fabric of society, we're on high alert for any suspicious products within the last few days. We've rounded up some of the best April Fool's pitches that our staff has received thus far.

Cheeteau from Cheetos — Yesterday, we received a cheese and flower-based fragrance from Cheetos, or Chester Cheetah to be exact, that we'll never forget.

Clear Coffee from Caribou — "Caribou is proud to announce Clear Coffee, a proprietary new coffee blend that has removed the color while retaining all the flavor. Thanks to an innovation in bean cultivation techniques and processing, Caribou has been able to produce an entirely colorless, stain-free beverage."

Captain Morgan Taco Rum — "Crafted using Mexico's freshest meats, cheeses and vegetables, Captain Morgan Taco Rum is five times distilled, resulting in an incredibly smooth rum that bursts with authentic taco flavor."

Jedi Training Facility in California Wine Country — "The Academy will serve as the training ground for a new army of Jedi aimed at stopping an evil menace that has plagued California wine country for nearly two decades. Completion is expected by early 2015 with first classes beginning that summer." 

KFC Mighty Mouth Expander — Do you need a bigger mouth so you can eat more? Of course you do.

Netflix Sizzling Bacon and Rotisserie Chicken Original Movies — Netflix describes these Yule log-style 'films' as "mind-bending" and "suspenseful."

Bacon Trim and It's All Gravy weight loss products — "Instead of fighting against people's natural tendencies to cover everything in bacon and gravy, we're embracing it," says J&D Foods about its new bacon- and gravy-flavored weight loss shakes and gravy-flavored seasoning.

Vegemite Energy Drink — On Facebook, Vegemite announced a new Vegemite iDRINK 2.1 energy drink for those "on the go."

Domino's Edible Pizza Box — Domino's Edibox relieves you of the need to recycle a pizza box ever again.

Bryan Cranston Sandwich Pickle from Firebox — "It possesses a distinctive and curiously addictive flavour, so if you've not tried this potent pickle before, maybe your best course is to spread lightly."

Chili's Ice Cream — Baby Back Chunk, Nacho Queso Crunch, and Buffalo Brownie Sunday are just a few of the ice cream options available to you if you really, really love Chili's.

Goodbye, Bacon Chocolate — This morning, we received a farewell bar of chocolate from Vosges Haut-Chocolat, announcing the discontinuation of its bacon chocolate bar collection. But then we unwrapped the bar, and it was all a silly prank. "The bacon and chocolate family is actually growing," says the company.
