Best 2014 Halloween Parties For Adults In Minnesota

We all remember Halloween: costumes and candy, later nights full of jack o lanterns, scary movies, black cats and ghosts. As children, Halloween was one of the most exciting holidays, and now as adults, we try and keep that wonder alive. We dress up, sometimes in ridiculous outfits, and head out for a different type of trick or treating. These local parties will keep the kid in you alive while catering to your adult sensibilities (and inhibitions, as candy only goes so far these days).

Downtown Minneapolis usually turns to one big party for Halloween, and Sneaky Pete's is the epicenter of that. Dance the night away in your best, scariest costume and enjoy drink specials and a costume contest. It's sure to be outrageous, and the costumes are no exception. Sure, you're not stuffing your face with Bottle Caps or Pixie Sticks or Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, but a nice mind eraser shot should hopefully do the trick. You're simply exchanging the stomach ache from childhood to the headache of adulthood.

Love it or hate it, you can't ignore the ZPC. It's all about the zombies. The Twin Cities proudly host the world's largest collection of zombies. Now in its 10th year, ZPC will be held in Minneapolis' Warehouse District. Zombify yourself and enjoy a music lineup that includes DJ Steve Aoki, Juicy J of 3-6 Mafia, Flavor Flav, Prof and thankfully plenty of local acts as well. It will be a party to remember.

This is not kid friendly. Adults, get a group of friends together and brave the scariest "haunted house" around. It's not really a haunted house, more of a living nightmare. Scare easily? You don't even have to participate in the walking nightmare below. Instead, you can hang at the pop-up bar, The Exile Lounge, and enjoy the holiday with drinks with a mixed crowd you're unlikely to find at any other bar.
