A Behind-The-Scenes Look At Anna Kendrick's Kate Spade Holiday Campaign
Okay, we admit we're pretty big Kate Spade fans, and we're probably even bigger Anna Kendrick fans—even if we have heard the cups song more than we'd like—but she's cute, spunky and absolutely perfect to be the new face of the brand's Holiday 2014 collection. Seriously doesn't this just seem like a match made in fashion heaven? The holiday spread, photographed by Cedric Buchet in fabulous Las Vegas, is just the beginning of Kendrick's work with Kate Spade as she has also been chosen to front the "Year of Adventure" campaign which will begin its run in 2015. "Anna embodies the Kate Spade New York spirit in so many ways. She is beautiful, smart, hilarious and wildly talented," Kate Spade's president and chief creative officer Deborah Lloyd says about the collaboration. "I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with her over the next several months and to be the beneficiary of her enormous wit and charm. She is a true joy to work with."
"It was so much fun," Kendrick told People. "We went to all these old spots in Vegas, so it felt like we got in a time machine. It was so romantic and fun. There were eight guys on the shoot with me who were just cracking me up! Mostly in their 50s and 60s but a couple in their 30s, and the photographer kept being like, 'Just try to get her attention. Try to get her to laugh.' So these guys were just cracking me up. They were totally these Vegas big shots for the day." And it looks like the actress is having an amazing time. While the holiday campaign isn't out yet (come on guys it's not even November), there are a number of behind-the-scenes shots that makes us want to plunk down our credit cards immediately. Are those glitter dresses we see? Candy-colored bags? A bow tie frock? We should start making our Christmas list.
