B.B. King To Launch Wine Collection
Add B.B. King to the list of musicians, athletes, and celebrities turning into winemakers: the musician is now launching a collection of wines with his name on it.
Launching today, the B.B. King Signature Collection Red 2010 and the B.B. King Signature Collection White 2011 come from the Bodega Santa Cruz Winery in Almansa, Spain, according to a release. The red wine is a Crianza blend made from garnacha, syrah, and cabernet sauvignon, and the white wine is made of 100 percent verdejo grapes.
The wines will be launched in two music-loving cities first, Nashville and Memphis, and then launched nationally for retail (for $14 per bottle). We highly recommend that you add these wines to your Rock 'n' Roll collection of wines — Wines That Rock, included in our holiday gift guide. But the real question is: Will these wines sell out in one day like Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's new rosé?
