Adeline has always loved to write but did not start writing professionally until 2015. Before transitioning to science writing, she worked as a researcher at Brown University and Roger Williams University, then taught biology at Bristol Community College in Massachusetts. Adeline also writes about diabetes at She believes that everyone should have access to the latest developments in health and science. When she is not writing about health topics, she is reading about them or going for a run.


Adeline earned a B.A. in Biology from Agnes Scott College and an M.S. in Genetics and Development from Cornell University. Her graduate research focused on genetic evidence of domestication in the crop species sorghum.
