Zimmern Food Truck To Have Spot At Target Field

In addition to several other regional specialty retailers, celebrity chef Andrew Zimmern will launch AZ Canteen at Target Field on opening day, April 1. The Travel Channel's Bizarre Foods host will instill the AZ Canteen food truck (that was launched at last year's Minnesota State Fair) to a new grill location at the home of the Minnesota Twins.

Located at Section 120 of the stadium, the AZ Canteen will serve Zimmern's "Canteen Burger," which includes "a lamb/goat blend fully dressed with house-made chips," according to the release. Zimmern is a Twins season ticket-holder at Target Field in Minneapolis, where he gained his culinary start.

Other eating options from the region opening April 1 include Mac's Fish and Chips, Sheboygan Sausage Co., and Panino's Baked Sandwiches. "Every season since Target Field opened in 2010, Sportservice has looked to see what we could do to offer fans even more variety and Minnesota flavor," says Pete Spike, general manager for Delaware North Companies Sportservice, Target Field's food service partner. "So we're excited to bring in Andrew Zimmern along with Mac's and Panino's to go along with the other outstanding tastes of Twins Territory fans look for at the ballpark's concessions."
