Alice Waters Makes Healthy Menus For Hyatt Hotels

Hyatt Corporation has launched its new For Kids By Kids menus in all Hyatt hotels and resorts in the United States, Canada, and the Caribbean. The menu promotes healthy eating by offering customizable, kid-friendly, organic meals for children developed by chef Alice Waters.

"All children deserve to eat real food — fresh, seasonal, organic, and delicious," said Waters. "I wanted to do a small, three-course meal, within the context of Hyatt's initiative, that could be sourced exclusively from organic farms across the country."

Breakfast options include a whole-wheat tortilla with scrambled eggs and cheese, and waffle dipping sticks with peanut butter, maple syrup, and fruit sauces.

For lunch, kids can build their own whole-wheat submarine sandwiches with turkey, lettuce, tomato, and cheese or choose a chopped salad with roasted chicken, vegetables, brown rice, and yogurt basil dressing.

Dinner features dishes such as natural grilled beef with potatoes, roasted vegetables, and garden salad, and sesame rice noodles with marinated tofu, corn, green beans, cherry tomatoes, and basil.

With each meal, children also have the option of ordering whole or half portions.
