"When I was given the opportunity to be a part of this event, I accepted immediately," said Perri. "I'm honored to support the important work of The Moyer Foundation."
The following day, participants will have a 12 noon shotgun time as they make their way around the South Course which will include a post-tournament reception and awards ceremony. Proceeds for the event will support Camp Erin® and Camp Mariposa®. Camp Erin works with children ages 6-17 who've experienced the death of someone close to them and is held annually through a partnership with The Elizabeth Hospice. Camp Mariposa, in partnership with San Diego Youth Services, works with teens 9-12 whose families have been affected by addiction. It is held six times a year.
Through the free programs that combine fun with traditional camp activities, children and teens are able to cope with what they have or are going through with expert counselors. Overall, the camps have reached more than 2,600 California children since The Moyer Foundation's inception.
