The evening will include a shorts screening, panel discussion, and reception introducing us to the theme of "time" through the program Exploration in the 4th Dimension. Tonight's films investigate color development in butterfly wings, psychological illness from three different perspectives, and Kurt Godel's theories on time travel. Science writer Carl Zimmer moderate's tonight event, which will include talking about plenty of other compelling topics. Event begins at 7 p.m. Check website for ticket availability.

Country superstar Eric Church joins forces with the great Dwight Yoakam tonight at Madison Square Garden. Get your ticket to see these two hit the stage, a which Eric Church designed himself. To keep an intimate feel, he created a 360 degree performance space with 10 microphones so he can constantly move around. He also made the Choir Loft, a special section positioned just behind the stage where fans can be eye level with him. Could you ask for more? Show starts at 7 p.m. and tickets begin at $43.

Author Victoria Wilson will introduce the screening of the film The Bitter Tea of General Yen tonight at the Film Forum. Frank Capra's 1933 movie stars Nils Asther and Barbara Stanwyck as a Chinese warlord and an engaged Christian missionary who fall in love with each other. Copies of Wilson's book, A Life of Barbara Sanwyck: Steel True 1907-1940, will be also be available to purchase. Tickets are $13 for general admission, $7.50 for members. Screening starts at 5:40 p.m.
