As arguably the preeminent leading music capital of the world, Los Angeles see's its fair share of top bands come through no matter what time of the year it is. This Fall and Winter are no exception. In fact, this season will be one of the most exciting yet, with bands playing some of LA's most iconic venues. As the city plays host to some of music's top acts, we take a deeper look to give you a rundown of the best shows coming to LA in the next few months.

Popular upstart rock act Dorothy kicks off their residency at the Bootleg on November 3rd to much fan fare. The quartet, led by Dorothy Martin and featuring Mark Jackson on guitar, Greg Cash on bass and Zac Morris on drums, has been on fire as of recent. And, for good reason. Traversing the globe in support of their self-titled E.P., Dorothy brings the cool back to rock and roll with their signature sound which shakes things up in a welcomed way. With bold guitar riffs, and heavy hitting drums, lead singer Dorothy's soulful voice is a refreshing change from the predictable indie acts out there in the rock scene. Dorothy's residency will continue every Monday through November.

Performing at LA's famed Forum, The Black Keys return to LA in support of their new "Turn Blue" album which features more of a soulful groove in comparison to their 2010 smash hit album "El Camino." Like their 2010 album, "Turn Blue" was also produced by Danger Mouse (of Broken Bells). With more of a mellow sound, the new album surely does not disappoint and will prove to be a great show.

Playing an all ages show at the Glass House on Thursday, November 6th, alt-rock band Weezer performs in support of their ninth studio album. Along with Patrick Wilson (drums), Brian Bell (guitar) and Scott Shriner (bass), lead vocalist and guitarist Rivers Cuomo will play songs from their new studio album titled "Everything Will Be Alright In The End" like new single "Back To The Shack" as well as older hits such as "Island In The Sun," "Say It Ain't So," "Buddy Holly" and more. Weezer will also be playing The Belasco Theater in downtown Los Angeles the next night, Friday, November 7th.

Led by singer/songwriter Mark Foster, Foster The People continues their tour at LA's Shrine Auditorium. Featuring an all ages show on Friday, November 14, doors open at 7pm and the show will begin at 8pm. Formed in 2009, the band is set to play hits from their various hit albums including "Pumped Up Kicks," "Helena Beat," and "Don't Stop."

Performing at the famous Hollywood Palladium, rock band The 1975 will charge up audiences with its signature alt-rock music. Presented by KROQ, the show will also feature upcoming bands CRUISR and Young Rising Songs for a show fueled by heavy drumming and heavy riffs. Hit songs from the 1975 include "The City," "Chocolate," "Girls" and "Robbers."

In addition to their November 18th show at the Observatory in Santa Ana, Cold War Kids will be headlining the Regent Theater in Los Angeles for their fall tour in support of the band's sixth studio album, "Hold My Home," which was released on October 21st. The band will be performing hits from past albums such as the hugely popular smash hit "Hang Me Up To Dry" as well as their new single "First."

As part of the 30 Days In LA music festival presented by Red Bull, The Head And The Heart will perform an 18+ show at The Ace Hotel's Theatre. Formed in 2009 in Seattle, Washington, the band is one of the darlings of the Sub Pop label, and became hugely popular over a short period of time. A word-of-mouth success story, their self-titled debut album sold 10,000 copies before it had been signed. In a short amount of time, the band of 6 members have exhaustingly toured the globe for the past several years and have amassed a huge following due to their soulful indie hits. The Nov. 22 performance will feature hits from their debut album including "Rivers and Roads," "Lost In My Mind," and "Down In The Valley," as well as newer songs from their latest album "Let's Be Still."

Playing a 2 night showcase in November and a single show on Dec 6th, Fleetwood Mac returns to eager audiences for their "On With The Show Tour" which is sure to be a smash hit. Playing the Forum in Inglewood on all nights, Orange County will also be the recipient of a show at The Honda Center on December 7th. Formed in London in 1967, the band, made up of Lindsey Buckingham, Mick Fleetwood, Christine McVie, John McVie and Stevie Nicks, is one of the world's greatest rock bands. Set to perform for over 2 hours, the band will play hits from their multitude of albums including "Everywhere," "Landslide," "Dreams," "The Chain," and other hits.
