1st Annual Women's Travel Fest Comes To NYC This Saturday
The desire for adventure and expansion does not discriminate. You will yearn for new experiences and faraway lands, regardless of your gender. However, families and social expectations often tell women that a life of travel is for someone else.
On March 8th, a community of travelers will tell them something different.
The Women's Travel Fest, founded by Kelly Lewis of Go Girl! Guides and in partnership with Expedia, will inspire and empower women to travel the world and help them make newfound travel connections.
During this one-day event at the breathtaking Angel Orensanz Foundation on Manhattan's Lower East Side, women who have embraced travel will share their stories and offer their expertise on how to volunteer around the world, how to stay safe, how to travel with kids, alone, or on a budget, and much, much more.
Friendships will be made and plans will be forged as participants listen, laugh, and learn from a group of exceptional experts that include the Travel Channel's Samantha Brown, and activist–author Sarah Shourd. In addition, attendees will get a chance to connect with sponsors and travel industry representatives that want to help them travel well and travel safely.
