Crowd-sourced review site Yelp has released its eighth-annual ranking of the Top 100 Places to Eat, spotlighting the best spots to grab a bite across the country. Almost all of the businesses on the list cost less than $30 per person, and many of the entries are new to the list, including the No. 1 restaurant in the country.
To determine its Top 100 places to eat for 2021, Yelp asked users for their nominations, then analyzed the submissions based on Yelp ratings, number of reviews and volume of submissions. Yelp community managers around the country then helped finalize the list using their expertise. The Yelp data science team also balanced geographic representation by including an equal share of submissions from different regions of the country.
