Weekly Opening Report: The Week Of March 10, 2014

Every week, we take a look at some of the restaurants that have opened or will soon open across the country. Here's this week's roundup:

Connecticut

Mario Batali and Joe Bastianich's Tarry Lodge will open a third location in New Haven.

 

Chicago

The 31-year-old restaurant Dinosaur Bar-B-Que is expected to open its first location in spring 2015 in Chicago in a former nightclub space on West Weed Street.

 

New York City

Bruce Cost Ginger Ale is opening a 22,000 square-foot headquarters in Bushwick, Brooklyn in April 2014.

Chef Richard Gussoff of The Soup Bowl of Park Slope will open Uncle Arthur's Café on 7th avenue near 9th street in the space formerly occupied by Italian deli Catene.

Philadelphia chef Jose Garces will open his first New York restaurant at Brookfield Place. The restaurant name and concept have not been announced.

A new Indian restaurant Savoury will open March 19 in the Upper West Side with dishes such as tender baby lamb chops with the chef's signature sauce, a combination of ginger, garlic, mustard, curry leaves, and tamarind.

Restaurateur Nick Mautone and Mark Fiorentino, former chef at Daniel teamed up to open a restaurant in the space formerly occupied by Donatella at 184 Eighth Avenue.
