Virgin Atlantic Serves Richard Branson Ice Cubes
If the preview of Virgin Atlantic's pimped-out Upper Class suites and bar didn't get you jazzed, maybe Richard Branson ice cubes will. Now, the airline has created mini ice sculptures of the airline president to be served in cocktails.
The ice cubes took four designers six weeks to create, fashioning Branson's image with laser imaging and photographic technologies, Jaunted and the Daily Mail report. And yes, they do look very much like Branson.
Why human-head-shaped ice cubes, you might ask? Virgin Atlantic CEO Steve Ridgway says it's so Branson can sit in on a few drinks with travelers "in spirit." Said Ridgway to the Daily Mail, "'While Richard would love to be able to sit and enjoy a drink with all of our passengers, his schedule means that it simply isn't possible... Now he is able to join our guests "in spirit" on one of the upper class cabin's first flights as they raise a toast to their trip and the exciting times ahead." Take a seat on Virgin Atlantic and raise a glass.
