Todd Immel Named New Executive Chef At Floataway Café

Chef-owners Anne Quatrano and Clifford Harrison of Atlanta's Floataway Café have named Todd Immel new executive chef of the contemporary dining hot spot. The menu he'll be taking over features fresh seasonal cuisine inspired by French, Mediterranean, and Italian flavors.

"He is committed to creating an exceptional dining experience for our guests while sharing our passion for sustainability and culinary creativity," said Quatrano. "We are eager to watch Floataway Café flourish with him as executive chef."

After graduating from the Culinary Institute of America in New York, Immel moved his way around the country with stints in cities like New York City, Los Angeles, Atlanta, and Orlando, but it was his international trips to Italy and Spain that fueled a love for cured meats. Most recently, the salumiere of Star Provisions' Meat Department developed a nationally recognized charcuterie program and was named one of the 2012 StarChefs.com Atlanta's Rising Stars.

"I am thrilled to get back into the kitchen," said Immel. "My enthusiasm lies in European-inspired cuisine, and I am very excited to continue my work with Anne and her culinary team."
