Things You Haven't Thought Trying Peanut Butter With Yet

We know, we know: You love peanut butter. You even love to eat it by the spoonful straight from the jar. Who doesn't? But we also know it's easy to get stuck in a peanut butter and jelly sandwich rut. Happily, peanut butter is one of the most versatile foods out there. It mixes marvelously into baked goods, makes amazing sauces, and is fabulous for filling things other than two slices of bread, with hundreds of applications you probably haven't thought about. Here are five you'll want to stick with.

Waffles

Who needs sugary syrup when you can spread some peanut butter on waffles instead? Top them with bananas (or strawberry jelly!) as well, for an added bonus.

With Bacon, Cheese, and Jelly

Peanut butter, bacon, and jelly inside a grilled cheese? Yes, indeed! Try it with fig jam instead of traditional strawberry jelly; it's creamy, sweet, salty, and cheesy.

In Rice Krispy Treats

Add a couple tablespoons of peanut butter to Rice Krispy treats the next time you make them, or spread some on top while they're still warm. And don't forget that you can make them with other cereals as well, like Kix!

On Cookies

You don't need to bake peanut butter cookies to enjoy peanut butter on a cookie, if you catch our drift. Just spread some on top if it! It works wonders with Oreos.

In Pancakes

The next time you make pancakes, add a couple dollups of peanut butter to the batter, along with some chocolate chips if you're feeling adventurous. You'll be rewarded!
