Superba Snack Bar to Open in Venice, California

The restaurant will open this Thursday for dinner, with brunch and lunch to follow soon after

Superba Snack Bar will open Thursday in Venice, Calif.

The restaurant is a collaboration between Pitfire Artisan Pizza creater Paul Hibler and chef Jason Neroni, previously of Osteria La Buca.

This modern pastaria will include local ingredients such as homemade pasta, house-smoked meats, local cheeses, and Southern California produce. 

"Superba Snack Bar puts all of my passions under one roof: pasta, pig, and plenty of farmers market produce," Neroni said. 

The innovative menu will include dishes such as Julia’s chicken liver mousse with balsamic cherries; fried duck egg with papas bravas, truffle vinaigrette, and tuna prosciutto; and garganelli with lamb bolognese, black garlic, ricotta salata, and mint.

Special desserts are available, such as s’mores with chocolate pudding, graham cracker, and smoked marshmallow; and PB&J with sesame, hibiscus, and basil.

This Venice restaurant will initially only serve dinner, but will begin offering a brunch and lunch menu shortly.
