Biglari Holdings, the company that owns a couple of restaurant brands including the wildly-popular chain Steak ‘N Shake, and Western Sizzlin’—the steakhouse franchise located mostly in the South and Southwest— has just announced that they have acquired Maxim Magazine, “the ultimate guy’s guide.” The company also has a minority stake in the Cracker Barrel franchise.
But don’t worry, Maxim fans, you won’t be seeing any steaks between the covers of your magazine anytime soon. The brand is allegedly going to stay the same, and will be headed by the same team in New York.
"Maxim brand will thrive under our new owner,” said Ben Madden, President of MAXIM in a press release. “The planned investments across Maxim's many platforms will regenerate the power of the brand with both our advertising partners and consumers worldwide."
