St. Louis Starts A Brewery Hop Van Service

Finally there is a way to visit multiple breweries in the same day with all your friends without the hassle of getting directions to each one. The STL Brewery Hop service will drive you and your friends to different breweries all over town while you relax and sample the different beers.

As reported by River Front Times, owner Lindsey Schaefer has been thinking about this idea ever since she moved back to St. Louis three years ago. She says that she thinks St. Louis is poised for a craft beer boom and wants to be a part of it after experiencing the beer culture in Denver and New Orleans.

The bus will take up to 20 people on tours on Saturdays and Sundays. There is a four-hour, three-brewery tour on Saturdays for $40 and a three-hour, two-brewery tour on Sundays for $30. Each tour includes a sample tasting at each brewery, a behind-the-scenes look at each location and a free food buffet after.

Schaefer is hoping that the tours will help emphasis the history and philosophy behind each brewery.

So far nine local breweries have already signed on to be a part of Schaefer's tours, including Perennial Artisan Ales, 4 Hands Brewing Company, and Urban Chestnut Brewing Co.
