St. Louis Bar Now Offering Dance Parties... At Lunch

St. Louis, Mo.'s HandleBar has just about everything you'd expect from a bar — and then some. The bar small bites (including pizzas and vegetarian options), PBR and Happy Hour specials, a craft beer list... and an art gallery, burlesque shows, and now, a lunch dance party.

HandleBar is joining in on the newest craze to hit lunch hour, the dance party, with Lunch Beat, a dance party that's meant to encourage socializing, movement, and well, more fun than eating at your desk. (Because that's tough to beat.) "To have fun, normally people drink and dance and the night goes on as usual," said owner TatyanaTelnikova to St, Louis magazine. "...But to have an impromptu party during the day is a really good break from the week, and maybe even a way to kick off the weekend on a Wednesday."

The pop-up dance club is happening June 19... no word whether it will become a regular thing at HandleBar (or whether alcohol's included in the Lunch Beat; social lubricant!).
