Spike Mendelsohn Of 'Top Chef' Confirms Philadelphia Good Stuff Eatery
Exploring the Philadelphia culinary scene is a trip in itself. From sushi to famous cheesesteaks, the city is home to a rich food culture, and former Top Chef contestant Spike Mendelsohn is setting out to establish another fantastic addition to the urban restaurant repertoire. "We can't wait to open up in the city of Brotherly Love!" Mendelsohn recently tweeted.
There was buzz a few months back that Mendelsohn was toying with the idea of a Philadelphia spot, and those rumors have recently been confirmed. Although no specific dates have been released, Good Stuff Eatery is scheduled to become a city staple on 18th Street, right near other well-known destination restaurants like Di Bruno Bros. and Continental Mid-town.
Good Stuff currently has two other locations in Washington, D.C.'s Capitol Hill and Crystal City, with a Georgetown establishment in the works. The Philly branch will replace the recently closed Numa sushi bar and will offer American favorites like freshly cut french fries, hand-spun shakes, and fantastic burgers. The eatery's simple yet exquisite approach to everyday food is what will make Good Stuff a true standout in our city.
