Soleto Trattoria To Open In Downtown L.A. In July

Innovative Dining Group (IGD), who operates some of the most popular restaurants in L.A., like Sushi Roku, BOA Steakhouse, and Katana, just announced the debut of Soleto, a trattoria/pizza bar that aims to capture the relaxed sophistication of an Italian trattoria, re-imagined for the vibrant L.A. vibe.

"We envisioned a restaurant where you can walk in day or night, from the busy streets of downtown, into a relaxed place with the warmth and hospitality that exemplifies the spirit of Italy," IDG Partner/Co-Founder Lee Maen says.

Executive Chef Sascha Lyon, who honed his skills under renowned chefs like Michel Richard and Alain Giraud, Daniel Boulud and Roger Vergé, oversees the menu for Soleto, which focuses on straightforward and unpretentious food inspired by Southern Italian cuisine.

The menu features dishes like oven-baked meatballs marinara al forno, grilled oyster mushrooms with grana padano and white truffle vinaigrette, and rigatoni ragù with house-made sweet sausage, grana padano, and escarole. The trattoria also offers an array of creative pizzas, all cooked in a gas-assisted, wood-burning oven, as well as panini, salads, and libations that pay due homage to Soleto's Italian roots.
