I love a good steak, and when I am ready to put it on the grill, I prepare it with a simple mix of Beau Monde seasoning from Spice Islands and garlic powder on the steak. Just sprinkle each on the meat, wait three minutes, turn it over and repeat on the other side.
Do not let it stay on the meat any longer than that. It gets too salty if you do.
Preheat your grill for about five minutes while you are preparing the meat.
I just bought two MANGRATES that sit on top of my standard Char-Broil gas grill. These are superior cast iron pieces that cost me $57.00 from their web site. I really like them, the grill was burning my food due to flames from the dripping grease from the meat. These MANGRATES are the best thing I ever used. They keep the flames from the meat and the heat cooks the meat perfectly in about 10 minutes on each side the cut. I like my meat well done and the temperature on the grill reads about 500 degrees. The meat is cooked all the way through, the exterior is not burned, and the tenderness of the steak is perfect. The grill marks on the steaks look like the ones you get from a professional restaurant. This is a meal on the table for us in a half and hour.
Go on the Net to: WWW.MANGRATE.COM to see their latest offer on the cast iron grates.
