Shake Shack's SmokeStack On New York Menus

Yesterday, Grub Street's Jenny Miller drooled over Shake Shack's new SmokeShack, a cheeseburger with Niman Ranch applewood-smoked bacon, cherry-pepper relish, and ShackSauce, asking if "anybody out there [has] given it a chomp?" She must have missed everyone's coverage of the South Beach Wine & Food Festival this past February featuring details about the ridiculously delicious new Danny Meyer burger.

For the uninitiated, Shake Shack's SmokeShack features American cheese, applewood smoked bacon, cherry pepper relish, and ShackSauce. Expect the same unparrallelled juicy, savory burger, the same moist potato bun, and the same perfectly melted cheese, great seasoning, and butteriness, but now taken up a notch with crisp bacon strips. It definitely could have won South Beach's Burger Bash, and few could have argued against the decision.

Anyone intrigued should head over to the Upper East Side Shake Shack or Madison Square Park, where Grub Street says (without seeming to have tasted the burger) that reps have confirmed it as being on the menus.
