The change came into effect this week on the 31 st of March with a new range of products that passengers can purchase. On European and long haul flights sas food menu options now include:

Boxerchips (The worlds first chips in a box)

Chocolate Green & Black´s (New organic range)

Health Bar 9bar (Gluten , dairy and lactose free!)

Long haul I hear you say? Don't worry SAS will still serve you free meals on all long haul services to and from Europe and Scandinavia, however in between meal times they offer a paid snack bar service for those who are still peckish. These comfort snacks include the same range as short haul such as chips, chocolates, health bars and muffins are available on flights to and from Asia.

If you happen to be flying on sectors within Norway SAS is using local products for on-board sales, Lisa Johansson Manager Retail & Short haul procedures for SAS told inflightfeed.com "We have a special assortment for Norway because our Norwegian passengers are very loyal to domestic products". The new hot wraps available on Norway domestic flights come from Montys Bakehouse similar wraps are available on Air Canada and many other airlines.

On the 9th June SAS will introduce yet another inflight menu for all flights, however until then we have to wait and see what will be on the menu! If you would like to view the snack and buy on board menus click here.
