Rugelach

The unmistakable smell of warm butter and flour baking in the oven is a holiday favorite for many bakers. It's a scent that Joanna Perl, of Perl Girl Baking Co., loves... But her friends? "Baking all day, I always smell like rugelach."

Perl Girl sells a variety of homemade treats, from her classic cinnamon-raisin-walnut "Original" and "Jam and Chocolate" flavors, to Perl Girl Inventions like "Fig Jam and Almonds" and "Peanut Butter and Jelly," two of our favorites.

Joanna uses a secret family recipe, passed down from her mom, to make Perl Girls' flakey-tender, and not-too-sweet treats. Just in time for Hanukkah, Joanna shares her step-by-step technique for rolling her "Original" flavored rugelach with us.
