Red's Debuts At Sea Crest Beach Hotel

Located on a 700-foot private white sand beachfront in Cape Cod's North Falmouth, the Sea Crest Beach Hotel has recently unveiled its multi-million dollar renovations just in time for beginning of the summer season.

The Sea Crest Beach Hotel debuts its new look with the launch of Red's, a new restaurant and lounge whose culinary mission is to infuse the flavors of American Cape and gastro-pub cuisine with gourmet twists. Red's is named in honor of Red Auerbach, the legendary coach and President of the Boston Celtics basketball who once owned the hotel.

The menu features an array of fresh Cape Cod seafood and local New England produce, offering up underwater treats such as scallops, calamari, oysters, yellow fin tuna, mussels, and lobster.

Dishes include delights such as New England clam chowder with a garnish of cracklings and chives, lobster mac and cheese, cod fritters, clambakes, and maple plank pork chops with garlic spinach, pickled onion, and cranberries. A selection of salads, pizzas, and sandwiches are also available.

Diners can enjoy their meals in any one of Red's seven dining spaces, which include take-out, outdoor porch seating, a poolside bar, and Red's room, which is decorated with Auerbach memorabilia.

"Our idea was to design a setting that would capture the larger-than-life spirit of Red Auerbach in an authentic way, giving patrons the sense that they have been invited into Red's personal 'man cave.' The effect is warm and welcoming — exclusive without every straying into formality," said Peg Blackall, lead designer of hotel renovation, on the construction of Red's Room.

Additional upgrades to Sea Crest Beach Hotel include improved conference spaces, recreational lounge rooms, and a brand new fitness center, featuring a range of exercise machines, an indoor swimming pool, and a yoga and pilates room.

When not feasting at Red's, the hotel also offers guests a range of outdoor and beach activities, such as windsurfing lessons, beach volleyball, and outdoor movies on the hotel's 16-foot screen.
