There's something really nostalgic about the Gummy Bear. They remind us of our childhood and have a lightness to them when chocolate just won't cut it! We've come up with a recipe that's kid-friendly and is definitely a little bit healthier than your average store bought bears. All you need to make your gummy bear dreams come true is a cheap bear-shaped candy mold and 3 ingredients. There is also an option to make your gummies a little sour by adding lemon juice to the mix. Enjoy!

A Bowl of Gummy Bears on a Rustic Table
Total time: 15 minutes
Ingredients
  • 4 ounce flavored gelatin
  • 1/2 ounce unflavored gelatin
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice (optional
  • 1/4 cup cold water
Directions
  1. Prepare your bear-shaped candy molds by spraying the clean molds with a light layer of nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Put the molds onto a baking tray.
  3. Place the unflavored gelatin, flavored gelatin, and cold water in a saucpan over low to medium heat.
  4. Whisk the contents together until the gelatin has dissolved and all the gummy mixture becomes liquid.
  5. If you are adding lemon juice to the recipe wait until the liquid is room temperature, and then add it.
  6. Otherwise pour your gummy liquid into a measuring cup with a spout and pour the liquid carefully into each mold.
  7. Place your baking sheet in the refridgerator so the gummies can set.
  8. The gummies are set when you can no longer see any liquid moving.
  9. Remove them by carefully pushing the sides of the molds towards the center.
  10. The best way to store your gummy bears is in the refrigerator.
