- 750 Milliliters tequila (standard bottle), preferably Avion Silver
- 2 Pounds baby seedless watermelon
- 3/4 Cups sugar (or more if desired)
- 2 Cups basil leaves (leave a few aside for garnish)
- 1 Cup fresh lemon juice
Puree watermelon and sugar in a blender until smooth.
Add sugar and mix until dissolved.
Add basil and blend on low until leaves are broken up.
Strain into pitcher.
Whisk in tequila and lemon juice.
Taste and add more sugar if desired.
Chill until cold, at least one hour.
Serve in ice-filled rocks glasses.
Garnish with basil sprigs and lemon wheels.
