Golden milk is everywhere these days, and for good reason. Throughout the history of Ayurveda—India’s ancient healing system—practitioners have been mixing warm milk with spices to create a soothing, health-boosting elixir. And today, everyone from bloggers to yogis to stay-at-home moms are sipping this creamy drink.

Golden milk gets its color from turmeric, a pungent, bitter spice with health benefits that match and exceed some pharmaceutical medicines. Turmeric provides significant anti-inflammatory effects that can benefit such a wide variety of health concerns, as inflammation is at the root of most diseases. And this Turmeric Latte makes it easy to get it into your diet on a regular basis.

With the Turmeric Latte, I’m taking my Turmeric Tea Recipe to new heights by adding even more health-boosting ingredients like cordyceps, reishi and the adaptogen herb ashwagandha. These ingredients have anti-aging and exercise performance benefits and help the body to cope with stress. I can’t think of a better way to cap off a long day!
