These delicious pork chops get smothered with apples and onions. Add all of your ingredients to the slow cooker and walk away — in a few hours you’ll have a hearty pork meal that would go great with a salad

Ingredients

  • 1 Tablespoon Olive oil
  • 6 pork chops, boneless
  • 1/2 Cup apple juice
  • 1/4 Cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 1/2 Cup vegetable broth
  • 2 Tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/2 Teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 Teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 Teaspoon garlic
  • 2 red delicious apples, cored, and sliced
  • 1 red onion, sliced

Directions

Heat the pork chops in a skillet with the 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Brown on both sides and set aside.

Mix the apple juice, vinegar, broth, brown sugar, salt, pepper, and garlic in the slow cooker — mix until the brown sugar is dissolved. Add the pork chops in and top with apples and red onion.

Set the slow cooker on low for 5 hours, turning the pork chops in the sauce twice during that time.

Place a thermometer in the center of the pork chop and if it reads 145 degrees F. it is done.
