Spicy Cantaloupe Daiquiri Recipe


Fresh-from-the-market cantaloupe stars in this light and delicate summer elixir that has a slight kick from the inclusion of fiery Thai chile.


  • 6 medium-sized chunks fresh cantaloupe, plus 3 frozen cantaloupe balls for garnish
  • 1 small piece hot Thai chile pepper
  • 2 ounces Banks 5 Island rum
  • ¾ ounces lime juice
  • ¾ ounces simple syrup
  • Ice


In a shaker, muddle the fruit and chile pepper. Add the remaining ingredients to the shaker and shake very, very hard over ice. Double strain into a frozen glass. Garnish with a skewer of 3 frozen cantaloupe balls.
