These spicy beef bites are an easy summer grilling appetizer. A blend of cream cheese and horseradish is given extra spice with Tabasco Chipotle Pepper Sauce and topped with grilled flank steak on toasted French bread rounds.
- One 2-pound flank steak
- One 8-ounce package cream cheese, softened
- 2 scallions, minced
- 2 Teaspoons horseradish
- 1 1/2 Teaspoon Tabasco brand Chipotle Pepper Sauce
- 1/4 Teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 Teaspoon salt
- Toasted french bread rounds, for serving
- Sliced scallions, for garnish
Preheat the grill or broiler.
Grill the flank steak for 15 minutes, or until desired tenderness is achieved. Once cooked, let the steak stand for 5 minutes, then slice it thinly.
Meanwhile, combine the cream cheese, scallions, horseradish, Tabasco Chipotle Sauce, garlic powder, and salt in a medium-sized bowl and stir until the ingredients are well mixed.
To serve, spoon some of the cream cheese mixture onto eachbread round. Top each round with sliced steak, and garnish with scallions to finish.
