"This is the perfect cocktail for transitioning from winter into spring," says Joel Tennyson, wine director of The Inn at Dos Brisas of his Spiced Pear Cocktail. "The ginger adds a kick to wake up your palate. Pears are not a fruit you often find in cocktails, but they add the perfect balance of sweetness to play on the acidity and the spice of the ginger."
- 1 1/2 Ounce Tito’s vodka
- 2 Ounces pear reduction or pear cider
- 1 Teaspoon pressed ginger
- 1/4 lemon, squeezed
- Ginger ale, to top
- Thin slice of fresh pear, for garnish
Combine all liquid ingredients and shake well. Pour into Mason jar over ice. Garnish with a slice of fresh pear.
