Spiced Orchards Mocktail
From the brand-new spa-inspired mocktail program at Fig & Olive Melrose Place, bar manager Michael Loomis remixes fresh juices with seasonal ingredients — in this case, apples with Thai basil, lemon, and ginger.
- 4 Ounces unfiltered apple juice
- 1/2 Ounce elderflower syrup
- 1/2 Ounce lime juice
- 1 lemon wedge
- 6 pieces Thai basil
- 1/2 bar spoon (a pinch) powdered ginger
In a mixing glass, muddle Thai basil with lemon wedge. Add apple juice, elderflower syrup, lime juice, and powdered ginger. Shake vigorously for 6 seconds and strain over ice in a rocks glass. Garnish with a few sprigs of Thai basil and zest with lemon.
