For a flavorful play with texture, this egg and breakfast sausage casserole is simply a must-try.
Ingredients
- 19 Ounces Johnsonville Fully Cooked Original Recipe or Turkey Sausage Links, cut into half-inch pieces
- 8 eggs
- 3 Cups milk
- 1/3 Teaspoon black pepper
- 6 English muffins, cut into three-quarter-inch cubes
- 2 Cups sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded, divided
Directions
In a very large bowl, whisk the eggs, milk, and pepper together. Add English muffin cubes; stir to coat. Then, stir in sausage and 1 1/2 cups of the cheese. Pour mixture into a greased 13-by-9-by-2-inch baking dish.
Sprinkle with the remaining cheese. Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees F for 40 to 45 minutes or until a knife inserted into the center comes out clean. Let stand 5 minutes before cutting.
