Ruby Spice Punch

Infuse your holiday punch bowl with the flavor of tea

Looking for a holiday spin on the classic punch bowl? Use the warming winter flavors of tea, cloves, oranges, and cinnamon to take this party staple to the next level.

For the Ruby Spice tea syrup:

  • 8 Ounces Teavana Ruby Spice Cider loose leaf tea
  • 8 Ounces water
  • 8 Ounces rock sugar, preferably Teavana’s

For the cocktail:

  • 6 Ounces cognac
  • 3 Ounces lemon juice
  • 2 Ounces ginger juice
  • 5 Ounces Ruby Spice Tea Syrup
  • 6 Ounces sparkling wine
  • Lemon wheels, for garnish
  • Cloves, for garnish
  • Apple slices, for garnish
  • Orange wheels, for garnish
  • Cinnamon, for garnish
  • Star anise, for garnish


For the Ruby Spice tea syrup:

In a saucepan, combine loose leaf tea, water, and rock sugar.

Bring to a simmer for 5 minutes.

Let sit for 20–25 minutes.

Fine strain.

For the cocktail:

In a mixing glass, stir together all ingredients.

Strain into punch bowl over large ice cubes.

Garnish with lemon wheels studded with cloves, apple slices, orange wheels, cinnamon and star anise.
