- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon hot sauce, preferably Tabasco chipotle pepper sauce
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups lightly salted cashews
- 2 cups oven-toasted rice cereal squares
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees.
Melt the butter in a 2-quart saucepan over low heat (or microwave in a large glass bowl). Stir in the hot sauce, chili powder, and salt until combined. Stir in the cashews and cereal squares until well mixed.
Spoon the mixture onto a large cookie sheet. Bake 15 minutes or until the mixture is toasted, stirring occasionally.
