Hennessy V.S.O.P Privilege Speciality Chinese New Year’s Cocktail

Chinese New Year is a time when many Chinese and Chinese-American families come together for an annual reunion dinner, consuming various kinds of food and drink to usher in wealth, happiness and good fortune.

On Monday, February 9, Hennessy V.S.O.P Privilège created a one-of-a-kind Chinese New Year celebration hosted by Eddie Huang, chef, restaurateur, author and creator of new ABC sitcom Fresh Off the Boat based on his life, celebrating this occasion by honoring the culture and heritage that continues to inspire today’s generation.  The dinner allowed all to reflect with family and friends and draw inspiration from past generations to lead us into a successful new year.

Hennessy is proud to join in celebrating the Year of the Goat, which is known for its strong inner resilience and perseverance. We are here to help celebrate those accomplishments that come from true perseverance and mastery of one’s craft.

Cocktail Shopping Tip

Buy your booze in bulk – transfer what you need into smaller bottles to stock your bar – you’ll save money and have enough leftover for your next party.

Cocktail Cooking Tip

Add another layer of flavor to your cocktails by making your own simple syrup – combine equal parts sugar and water with whatever aromatics you like – fresh herbs, whole spices, citrus, or chile peppers – heat to dissolve sugar and strain before using.
