Pecan Crusted Halibut

A classic dish that will become a kitchen staple

This recipe from  the cookbook Alaska Cooking Classics: A Treasury of Lodge and Bed and Breakfast Favourite Recipes, is courtesy of Sitka Salmon Shares. It is simple but full of great flavor and texture.


  • 4 halibut fillets
  • 1 Teaspoon lemon pepper seasoning
  • 1 Teaspoon fresh or dried dill
  • 1/2 Cup pecans, chopped


Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.

Blend mayonnaise, lemon pepper seasoning, and dill. Spread over fillets.

Press pecans on fillets, and bake for 14 minutes for thinner pieces of halibut and up to 20 for a thicker pieces of halibut.

Serve immediately.
