Everything is better on a stick, right? This is great on it's own (that's how I enjoyed it), but you could also smash one of these hot puppies between graham crackers and some chocolate and voilà! You just made truly epic s'mores.
- 1 egg
- 3/4 Cups water
- 3/4 Cups whole-wheat flour
- 1 Teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 Teaspoon salt
- 1 Tablespoon agave
- 2 Cups peanut oil
- 15 large marshmallows
- 1/2 Cup crunchy peanut butter
Whisk together the egg, water, flour, baking powder, salt, and agave until smooth.
Heat the peanut oil over medium-high heat until a piece of bread dipped in sizzles.
Stick marshmallows on the end of the skewers and spread about 1 teaspoon of peanut butter around the outside for each skewer. Dip the whole marshmallow in the batter and make sure all sides and edges are covered completely.
Hold the stick and place in the hot oil turning slowly but constantly until all sides are a nice medium-brown color. Place on paper towels to cool and enjoy!
